ASUS Upgrade from 3YR to 5YR Onsite Service NBD
This is an ASUS warranty upgrade service, not a physical product -- rather than starting from a 1-year base warranty, it takes a device that already carries 3 years of ASUS Onsite Service with Next Business Day (NBD) response and extends that same onsite/NBD service level out to 5 years total. In practice this means the customer keeps the same fast, on-premises repair turnaround for two additional years of coverage beyond the original 3-year term, useful for a device being kept in service longer than originally planned. As with ASUS's other care-pack services, this extension generally needs to be purchased and activated within a limited window of the original invoice date (commonly before the existing 3-year cover lapses), and it applies to a single specific eligible ASUS unit rather than being transferable between devices.
