ASUS 5 Years Accidental Damage Protection
This is an ASUS Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) service upgrade, not a physical product -- it adds 5 years of cover for genuine accidental damage to an eligible ASUS device, on top of the standard hardware warranty rather than replacing it. A normal warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failure only, and explicitly excludes user-caused damage such as an accidental drop, a spilled drink on the keyboard, or a cracked screen -- ADP is designed specifically to cover those real-world accidents, typically for one claim within the coverage term subject to ASUS's terms. As with ASUS's other care-pack services, this longer 5-year ADP term generally needs to be purchased and activated within a limited window (commonly 180 days) of the original product's invoice date, and it applies to a single specific device rather than being transferable.
