HP Datalogic 1500i Presentation Scanner
The Datalogic Magellan 1500i is an omnidirectional presentation barcode scanner for retail checkout counters, using a high-performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to give a wide reading area for 1D and 2D barcodes at distances up to 25cm, with 1D sweep speeds up to 1.5m/s. Its 1MP (1280x800) imager also captures JPEG/BMP images for signature or label capture. A compact 8x9cm footprint keeps checkout counters uncluttered, and a built-in accelerometer automatically detects when the scanner is picked up and switches between hands-free presentation mode and handheld operation. The housing is IP52-rated and drop-resistant to 1.2m, and it also supports Digimarc barcode decoding for products carrying that watermark-based code.
