The Emulex LPe31002-M6-D is a dual-port 16Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) in the low-profile PCIe bracket, from Broadcom's Emulex LightPulse Gen 6 family. It connects a server to a Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) over an PCIe 3.0 x8 interface, giving two independent 16Gb Fibre Channel ports via SFP+ optics, with the optics upgradeable to 32Gb Fibre Channel if the SAN fabric supports it. It's rated for around 1.6 million IOPS with low latency, and includes advanced features such as Forward Error Correction, NVMe over Fibre Channel readiness for future-proofing against all-flash SAN arrays, and ExpressLane Quality of Service prioritisation for latency-sensitive traffic.
