Like an OCP NIC, a Network Daughter Card slots into a dedicated internal connector on supported PowerEdge rack servers rather than a standard rear PCIe slot, saving PCIe expansion space for other cards. This card provides four independent 10 gigabit Ethernet ports over SFP+ connectors, designed for use with Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables or SFP+ optical transceivers for high-speed networking or storage-fabric connections.
