Targus - Control Plus Dual Mode Antimicrobial Presenter with Red Laser
The Control Plus is a presentation remote/clicker with a built-in red laser pointer, aimed at anyone who runs slideshows or presentations regularly. "Dual mode" refers to its two ways of connecting to a laptop: a plug-in 2.4GHz USB receiver, or Bluetooth pairing with no dongle at all, useful for a laptop that's short on USB ports. It works at up to roughly 20 metres (65 feet) from the laptop, well beyond typical presentation-room distances, and the USB dongle mode uses AES 128-bit encryption so the wireless link can't easily be hijacked to take over the presentation. It runs on a single AAA battery and has an LED low-battery warning so it doesn't die mid-presentation without notice. Like Targus's other current input devices it carries the brand's antimicrobial treatment (infused silver phosphate glass, not a spray-on coating) and is built from over 50 percent post-consumer recycled plastic as part of Targus's EcoSmart range. No special software is required to operate it.
