APPLE 16-inch MacBook Pro: Apple M5 Max chip with 18-core CPU and 40-core GPU, 48GB, 2TB SSD - Silver,Model A3429

This is Apple's largest and most powerful MacBook Pro, the 16-inch model built around the new Apple M5 Max chip -- Apple's high-end single-die silicon for 2026, launched alongside the M5 Pro in March 2026. This exact configuration carries the top-tier 40-core GPU option (the same M5 Max silicon is also sold with a cut-down 32-core GPU, a genuinely different, lower-throughput bin also stocked in this catalog), an 18-core CPU (6 performance "super" cores plus 12 standard performance cores), a 16-core Neural Engine, 48GB of unified memory, and a 2TB SSD, in the Silver finish, model number A3429.

More Info

The 40-core GPU variant carries 614GB/s of memory bandwidth (versus 460GB/s on the 32-core GPU tier) and can be configured up to 128GB of unified memory, positioning it for GPU-heavy work the 32-core tier can't match as comfortably -- 8K ProRes editing and grading, large 3D/VFX renders, and running substantial AI models entirely on-device. The 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display runs at 3456x2234 (254ppi) with 120Hz ProMotion, 1000 nits of sustained brightness and 1600 nits peak HDR. Connectivity is three Thunderbolt 5 ports (120Gb/s), an HDMI port, a UHS-II SDXC card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and MagSafe 3 charging; Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 are built in. The 100Wh battery is rated for up to 22 hours of video playback. In the box: the laptop, a 140W USB-C power adapter, and a 2m USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable. It measures 35.57 x 24.81 x 1.68cm and weighs 2.15kg.
