This ATEN KVM switch combines a 16-port switch with an integrated 17-inch VGA LCD console in a single rack-mountable unit, letting one keyboard, monitor and mouse control up to 16 separate servers or PCs — a standard setup for a server room or data centre where dedicating a full monitor/keyboard to every machine isn't practical. It uses combined USB/PS2 connectivity for broad compatibility with older and newer servers alike, and adds an extra console port plus support for USB peripherals beyond just keyboard/mouse (e.g. a USB drive for maintenance tasks). The included accessory codes (USKB/SPKB/OUTKB, FG) refer to specific keyboard-language and rack-mounting kit variants bundled with this unit.
