ATEN 17'' wide Screen Full HD LCD console support USB DVI; HDMI; VGA W/(US99KB/USKB/SPKB)/W/(US/EU) CORD/(LONG RACK) ATEN TECH
This ATEN LCD KVM console pairs a 17-inch widescreen Full HD LCD display with a full keyboard and touchpad in a single 1U rack-mountable slide-out drawer, giving a server rack local, 'at the rack' access to connected servers or a KVM switch without permanently dedicating a full-size monitor and keyboard to the rack. It supports VGA, DVI, HDMI, and USB video and input connections — a broader range than most single-rail consoles, which typically stick to VGA/PS2 only — making it compatible with a wider spread of modern server and switch hardware. The listing includes region-specific keyboard layout and cord options (US/EU cord, long rack variant), reflecting that ATEN sells this console in multiple regional configurations from the same base hardware.
In ATEN's wider single-rail console range, a console of this type typically gives direct control of multiple connected computers or KVM-switch ports from one keyboard, monitor, and mouse — commonly up to 16 systems directly, with daisy-chaining support for managing many more from the same console — while occupying only 1U of rack space thanks to its slide-in, slide-out rail design. The wide-format Full HD panel and multi-format video support across VGA, DVI, and HDMI make it a better fit than a basic single-rail console for a modern mixed-vendor rack where servers and switches use different video outputs, and the built-in USB hub lets a technician share a USB device, such as a flash drive, across whichever connected system currently has console focus.
