This model is the ADATA SD620 2TB Rugged External Solid State Drive, a compact portable SSD built into a durable rubberised housing designed to withstand the knocks and drops of everyday travel and outdoor use far better than a standard bare enclosure. Being solid-state rather than a spinning mechanical drive, it has no moving parts to be damaged by vibration or impact in the first place, which is the core appeal for anyone carrying it in a backpack, camera bag or work case rather than leaving it on a desk. At 2TB it offers a meaningful step up in both speed and resilience over a traditional portable hard drive of similar capacity, making it well suited to backing up photos and video on location, moving large files between machines, or simply serving as fast, tough everyday storage for a laptop that's short on internal space. It's part of ADATA's rugged external SSD range, positioned for users who need their storage to survive rough handling without sacrificing solid-state speed.
