Garmin Airmar B265LM - 1kW

This is an Airmar B265LM transducer for Garmin marine sonar systems — a 1kW bronze thru-hull mount transducer, sold as the sensor for depth, water temperature and CHIRP fishfinder sonar readings. Unlike the in-hull M265LH transducer, the B265LM mounts through an actual hole cut in the hull, held in place with a fairing block, which gives it a more direct, unobstructed path to the water for sharper sonar returns — the trade-off preferred by serious anglers and offshore boaters willing to accept a below-waterline penetration for better sonar performance.
It operates across two CHIRP frequency bands (roughly 42-65kHz low and 85-135kHz medium), with beamwidths from about 25° down to 11° depending on frequency, and is rated to depths of up to 3,000 feet at low frequency (about 1,500 feet at medium frequency). The included High-Performance Fairing block angles the transducer face to remain flush and effective at hull speeds over 30 knots, a real consideration for faster sportfishing and cruising boats where a poorly-faired transducer would cavitate and lose signal. Housed in a robust bronze casing (roughly 7.3kg) for long-term saltwater durability, and supplied with a 39-foot bare-wire cable requiring a separate mix-and-match adaptor cable to connect to a Garmin unit's 12-pin port.
