The Alto Power Series AP3600 is the largest in Alto's AP line: a 3600VA line interactive UPS for a small server room, a network cabinet with switches and NVR, or a cluster of office workstations. At a 0.6 output power factor it delivers about 2160 W, and its microprocessor-controlled buck and boost AVR corrects the low and high voltage common on South African mains without switching to battery. Output is sine wave on mains and modified sine wave on battery, suited to computers, servers, modems and PABXs rather than motor loads. Alto quotes 10 to 15 minutes of runtime depending on load, enough for an orderly shutdown during load shedding. It supports cold start, self-tests on start-up, recharges in Off mode, has MOV surge protection and has a USB port for Alto's monitoring software. The black tower measures 212 x 510 x 308 mm and weighs 24 kg. In the box: the UPS, a manual, the monitoring software and two IEC male-to-female cables. Warranty is 6 months.
