The AMD EPYC 9355 is a server-class processor from AMD's EPYC 9005 ("Turin") Zen 5 generation, built for the SP5 server socket used in modern dual- and single-socket Dell/HPE/Supermicro-class rack and blade servers. As a mid-to-upper tier SKU it targets virtualisation hosts, cloud infrastructure, databases and enterprise application servers that need strong per-core and multi-core performance with large memory bandwidth. It's supplied as a "Tray" unit — the bare OEM processor with no retail box or bundled cooler, the standard way server CPUs are sold to system integrators and IT departments building or upgrading their own server hardware, rather than a boxed retail chip for a desktop PC.
