The Amphenol HP-3-MD is a blue 3-pole power chassis connector (power in) in the standard 'D' size housing, from Amphenol's HP series, listed by Amphenol as comparable to the Neutrik powerCON NAC3MPA-1. It is fitted to the back panels of lighting fixtures, amplifiers, powered speakers and power distribution units as the mains input, accepting a blue power-in cable connector such as the HP-3-F; the keyed blue colour prevents it being mixed up with the grey power-out socket. It has 3/16 inch solder tabs with an insulation divider between terminals, a PA66 GF30 glass-filled thermoplastic housing, brass/silver contacts, a 25 A 250 V AC rating, IP54 protection, UL94 V-0 flammability, UL recognition E339831 and an operating range of -25 to +75 °C. The D-size flange shares the cut-out and two-screw fixing used by XLR and other D-series connectors. Supplied as a single connector.
