Amphenol 7 pin XLR Male inline

The Amphenol AC7M is a 7-pole male XLR cable connector from Amphenol's AC series, used to build or repair multi-pin cables for professional audio, video and stage lighting. Seven-pin XLR is typical for valve (tube) microphone power supply cables, some intercom and talkback systems, and certain lighting and control applications, so this connector is a common spare for studios, broadcasters and hire companies. It has a diecast zinc alloy housing with a nickel finish, machined brass solder contacts with gold plating, and takes stranded wire up to 20 AWG. Amphenol's jaw-type cable clamp gives a cable retention force of roughly 22 to 44 kg depending on the cable, and the connector assembles without screws. Cable outer diameter range is 3 to 6.5 mm (6.5 to 8 mm with the large solder option). Ratings are 5 A per contact, 133 V RMS service voltage, IP40, UL 94 V-0 flammability, -25 to +75 degrees C and 1,000 mating cycles. Amphenol lists it as comparable to Neutrik NC7MX / NC7MXX. Supplied as a single connector.
