Amphenol Female to Female Adaptor

The Amphenol AC3F3FW is a 3-pole XLR in-line adapter with a female XLR socket at each end, used to join two male-terminated XLR cables or to turn round a cable run whose connector genders are wrong for the job. It is a common item in the spares case of any sound engineer, installer, broadcaster or lighting technician, because 3-pin XLR carries balanced microphone and line signals as well as DMX lighting control on many consoles. The adapter is pre-wired straight through, so no soldering is required. The body is a metal shell of diecast zinc alloy with a nickel finish, which gives it the strength to survive stage and outside-broadcast use, and each socket keeps the familiar XLR latch so the mating plugs lock in. Amphenol lists it as comparable to the Neutrik NA3FF. It is supplied as a single adapter; cables are not included. For a male-to-male version Amphenol makes the AC3M3MW.
