The Amphenol AC3FDZ is a 3-pole female XLR chassis connector in the industry-standard D-type flange, used on equipment back panels, patch panels, wall plates, stage boxes and custom enclosures to provide a microphone or line input, or a 3-pin DMX input, with a push-to-release latch. The D-size flange fits the standard D-series panel cut-out with two mounting screws, so it is interchangeable with other D-series panel connectors. The housing is zinc diecast with a nickel finish, and the stamped, silver plated contacts end in solder buckets that accept wire up to 14 AWG. Amphenol rates it at 15 A per contact, 133 V RMS service voltage (1,400 V AC test), IP40, UL94 V-0, -25 to +75 °C and 1,000 mating cycles, and lists it as comparable to the Neutrik NC3FD-L-1, E3F. It is aimed at installers, equipment builders and technicians. Supplied as a single connector; screws not included.
