The Amphenol AXX3F is a 3-pole female XLR cable connector from Amphenol's second-generation AX series, with a nickel-finished zinc diecast shell, a rubberised boot and a chuck-style cable clamp. It is the socket end for microphone leads, balanced line cables and 3-pin DMX lighting cables, and suits hire companies, venues and installers who build their own leads. A push-latch releases the connector from a male chassis or cable plug. The stamped, silver-plated contacts are soldered and accept wire up to 14 AWG. Amphenol rates it at 15 A per contact, 133 V RMS service voltage (1,400 V AC test), IP40, UL94 V-0, -25 to +75 °C and 1,000 mating cycles, and lists it as comparable to the Neutrik NC3FXX.
