The Amphenol AC4FDZ is a 4-pole female XLR chassis connector in the standard 'D' type housing, with machined contacts and a vertical PCB termination, from Amphenol's AC series. It is fitted to equipment panels, stage boxes and custom panels where a 4-pin XLR is required, for example intercom headset and beltpack connections, some DC power feeds for cameras and monitors, and certain control applications. The D-size flange uses the common cut-out and two-screw fixing shared with other D-series connectors, and the latch releases with the PUSH tab. The housing is diecast zinc alloy with a nickel finish and the contacts are silver plated. Amphenol rates it at 10 A per contact, 133 V RMS service voltage, 1400 V test voltage, IP40, UL94 V-0, -25 to +75 °C and 1,000 mating cycles, and lists the Neutrik NC4FD-L-1 as comparable. It mates with a 4-pole male XLR cable connector such as the AC4M. Supplied as a single connector.
