The Amphenol AC-HDMI-RR is an HDMI feedthrough (coupler) built into a standard 'D' type chassis-mount housing, with an HDMI type A socket on the front and on the rear. It lets an HDMI signal pass through a wall plate, floor box, rack panel, lectern or flight-case panel: an HDMI cable plugs into each side, so no termination or soldering is needed. Because it uses the common D-size cut-out and two-screw fixing shared by XLR, etherCON and other D-series panel connectors, it can be mixed with audio and network connectors on the same custom panel. The housing is EZDA No.3 diecast zinc alloy with a nickel finish, the brass contacts are gold plated, and Amphenol rates it IP40, UL94 V-0, -25 to +75 °C and 1,000 mating cycles. Amphenol lists it as comparable to the Neutrik NAHDMI-W; a black-finish version (AC-HDMI-RRB) is also made. It is used by AV integrators fitting out boardrooms, classrooms and venues.
