The Amphenol ACPR-BLK is an inline male RCA (phono) plug with gold-plated contacts, a black zinc diecast shell and a matching black grommet. It is used to build or repair RCA leads for DJ gear, hi-fi, mixers, CD and media players and video equipment; a black lead is often used for a subwoofer or general signal run. The diecast body is more robust than the moulded plastic plugs on ready-made consumer leads and gives the cable a firm, serviceable termination. Contacts are soldered and take wire up to 14 AWG (2.5 mm²). Amphenol rates the plug at 10 A depending on the mating connector, IP40, UL94 V-0 flammability, -25 to +75 °C operating temperature and 500 mating cycles. It is listed as comparable to the Neutrik NYS352BG. Supplied as a single plug; cable not included.
