Amphenol RCA male, inline, gold plated contact, red

The Amphenol ACPR-RED is a male RCA (phono) cable connector from Amphenol's AC series, with gold-plated contacts, a diecast zinc alloy shell in a red finish and a matching red grommet. It is used to build or repair unbalanced audio and video leads: turntable, CD and hi-fi interconnects, the RCA outputs of DJ mixers, subwoofer links and composite video. The red colour follows the usual convention for the right audio channel, so a pair is normally made with a red and a white or black plug. Termination is by solder and the cable entry takes wire up to 14 AWG (2.5 mm²), which suits heavier coax and twin-screened cables. Amphenol rates it for 500 mating cycles, a typical contact current of 10 A depending on the mating socket, IP40 protection, UL94 V-0 flammability and an operating range of -25 to +75 °C, and it complies with EU RoHS 2. Supplied as a single inline plug; cable is not included.
