The Amphenol ACPR-YEL is an inline male RCA (phono) plug with gold-plated contacts, a yellow zinc diecast shell and a matching yellow grommet. It is used to build or repair RCA leads for DJ gear, hi-fi, mixers, CD and media players and video equipment; yellow is the usual colour for composite video, so it is a common choice for CCTV, AV and older video leads. The diecast body is more robust than the moulded plastic plugs on ready-made consumer leads and gives the cable a firm, serviceable termination. Contacts are soldered and take wire up to 14 AWG (2.5 mm²). Amphenol rates the plug at 10 A depending on the mating connector, IP40, UL94 V-0 flammability, -25 to +75 °C operating temperature and 500 mating cycles. Supplied as a single plug; cable not included.
