The Apacer AS350X 2TB (AP2TBAS350XR-1) is a 2.5-inch SATA III solid state drive for upgrading a laptop or desktop that is still running on a hard drive, or for adding a large, quiet games and media drive. Built on 3D NAND flash, it is rated by Apacer for sequential reads up to 560MB/s and writes up to 540MB/s, with up to 93K/80K IOPS 4K random read/write at this capacity, so boot times, app launches and file copies feel far quicker than on a mechanical drive. Endurance is rated at 800TBW with a 1.5 million hour MTBF, and the firmware supports TRIM, S.M.A.R.T., global wear levelling, power-failure management and SATA power management. It uses the standard 7mm 2.5-inch form factor (100 x 69.85 x 6.9mm) with SATA data and power connectors, so it fits most notebooks, desktops with a 2.5-inch bay and external enclosures.
