The Apacer AS350X 512GB is a 2.5-inch SATA III solid state drive that gives older laptops and desktops a big speed boost at a sensible price. It reaches up to 560MB/s sequential read and 540MB/s write, with random 4K performance of up to 87K/80K IOPS, so Windows boots quickly and applications load without the wait of a mechanical drive. Apacer uses 3D NAND flash with SLC caching, plus wear levelling and ECC for longer life, and the drive supports TRIM, NCQ, S.M.A.R.T. and SATA power management. The 512GB capacity leaves comfortable space for the operating system, office software and a decent collection of files or a few games. It fits a standard 2.5-inch bay (100 x 69.85 x 6.9mm) with normal SATA cables. Endurance is rated at 320TB written, MTBF at 1.5 million hours, and Apacer's SSD Utility helps monitor drive health. Backed by a 3-year warranty (or TBW, whichever comes first).
