This is an APC rack-mounted LCD console with a built-in 16-port KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) switch -- a fold-out 17-inch screen and keyboard tray that slides into a standard server rack, letting a technician manage up to 16 different servers from a single shared monitor/keyboard rather than needing a separate screen for each one, or racking a full-size monitor at all. This is standard data-centre and server-room infrastructure for space-constrained environments where a dedicated monitor per server isn't practical. This catalog listing doesn't detail the exact rack unit (U) height, video resolution, or cabling type, so buyers should confirm those against APC's own datasheet for the exact console model before ordering cables/adapters.
