The APC 17" Rack LCD Console is a fold-out rack-mount console combining a 17-inch LCD monitor, keyboard and touchpad in a single tray unit, with an integrated 8-port KVM switch built directly into the console rather than needing a separate KVM device. It's a standard piece of data-centre/server-room infrastructure, letting an administrator control up to 8 servers from a single 1U-mountable console that folds flat into the rack when not in use, saving the space and cost of dedicated monitors/keyboards per server. As it's an integrated unit rather than a standalone KVM switch, it's a simpler, more compact solution for smaller server racks that need local console access without the expense of a separate IP-KVM. The listing doesn't specify screen resolution, rack unit height, or whether IP-based remote access is included, so confirm those against APC's datasheet if remote management is required.
