The APC NetShelter SX 42U is a large server/network equipment rack enclosure, 750mm wide and 1200mm deep, designed to house rack-mount servers, switches, UPS units and patch panels in a data centre or comms room. The extra 1200mm depth (deeper than a standard 1000mm-deep rack) gives more room for cable management and longer equipment such as deep servers or blade chassis, and enclosures in APC's NetShelter SX line typically include side panels, front/rear doors and cable routing accessories. It's a physical infrastructure product, not electronics itself — it's the housing that everything else in a server room gets mounted into.
