The APC Smart-UPS Online SRT 1500VA/1.5kVA is a double-conversion online UPS in tower form, built to give servers, networking equipment or other sensitive electronics a clean, regulated output with zero transfer time during a power cut — a step up from a standard line-interactive UPS. This unit ships without a rack kit (it's sold as a tower, though it can be rack-converted to 2U with the separately-sold SRTRK4 rail kit) and has no network management card fitted, so remote monitoring would need an optional add-on card. It uses sealed VRLA batteries and carries a 3-year warranty on the UPS itself, with battery coverage limited to 2 years — a common split on this class of unit since batteries are the first part to wear out.
