The APC Smart-UPS 2200VA Lithium-ion is a line-interactive rack-mount UPS (2U) built for protecting servers, network switches and other rack-mounted IT equipment from power cuts, sags and surges - a common backbone component of a load-shedding-resilient server room in South Africa. Using lithium-ion rather than lead-acid battery chemistry gives it a smaller footprint, faster recharge and longer service life than an equivalent older-generation Smart-UPS.
