The APC Smart-UPS RT SRT1000XLi is a double-conversion online UPS rated at 1000VA/1000W, the higher-end UPS topology that continuously regenerates output power rather than just switching in during an outage — giving cleaner, more consistent power for sensitive server and networking equipment. It includes bundled monitoring software and a serial interface for remote status/alerts, plus a SmartSlot for optional network management cards. Runtime can be extended with additional SRT48BP external battery packs for longer autonomy during extended outages, a common load-shedding mitigation setup in South Africa. It includes a cooling fan for sustained load, and while it ships as a standalone unit, it can be converted to a 2U rack-mount form factor using the optional SRTRK4 rail kit.
