Arktek R7 350 4GB GDDR5 128Bit Full Size Single Fan
The Arktek R7 350 is built on AMD's older GCN 1.0 (Graphics Core Next, first-generation) architecture, from an earlier product generation than the Polaris-based RX 550/580 cards elsewhere in this range. It's supplied here as a full-size, single-fan card with 4GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus. As an older-generation entry-level GPU, the R7 350 is best suited to basic desktop use, video playback and light HTPC duties, older or less demanding games at low settings, and as a low-cost way to add real video output and hardware video decode acceleration to a system that otherwise only has integrated graphics or none at all (common on some older server/workstation boards). Its single active fan cooler is a step up in noise and thermal headroom over a passively-cooled low-profile card, while the full-size form factor means it needs a standard desktop or mid-tower case rather than a small-form-factor or low-profile chassis. GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus was a mainstream mid-range configuration for its era, giving it reasonable bandwidth for its intended use case.
