The Armaggeddon AK-999 SFX is a waterproof membrane gaming keyboard built for durability and everyday reliability rather than the premium tactile feel of a mechanical board, rated for up to 100 million keystrokes over its lifespan — a genuinely high durability figure for a membrane design. It offers 9 different backlight colours built into one keyboard with adjustable backlight effects, letting the lighting be changed to match a setup's theme rather than being locked to a single fixed colour like cheaper membrane keyboards. Its "high-profile Tactkeys" are engineered to give noticeably more tactile feedback per keypress than an ordinary flat membrane keyboard, closing some of the feel gap toward a mechanical board without the mechanical price tag. Custom laser-etched keycap lettering resists fading and scratching far better than printed or painted legends, keeping the keycaps legible for years of use. The WASD-and-arrow-key cluster is fully anti-ghosting for reliable simultaneous key registration during fast-paced gaming, and a dedicated gaming mode option can disable the Windows key entirely to prevent accidental Alt-tabs or minimises mid-match.
