The Armaggeddon Nuke 5 is a 7.1 surround-sound gaming headset built for immersive positional audio in competitive and single-player games alike, using software-driven virtual 7.1 surround processing to spread game audio across a wider, more directional soundstage than a plain stereo headset — useful for pinpointing footsteps, gunfire direction and other positional cues that matter in fast-paced multiplayer titles. It includes a boom microphone for voice chat, positioned for clear pickup without needing to be removed between talking and listening, and connects via USB to drive the full 7.1 surround processing on PC. Over-ear cushioned earcups and an adjustable padded headband are built for extended comfort across long gaming sessions, keeping clamping pressure manageable rather than fatiguing during marathon play. As a numbered entry in Armaggeddon's Nuke line (positioned below the RGB-equipped Nuke 13R), the Nuke 5 focuses on genuine 7.1 surround performance and comfort as its core selling points rather than heavy RGB lighting, making it a straightforward pick for players who prioritise audio positioning over visual flair.
