The Armaggeddon Wasp-7 Type-C is a USB-C version of the higher-tier WASP-7 Pro 3D gaming earphone, aimed at gamers on USB-C-only devices — recent phones, tablets, laptops and handhelds without a 3.5mm headphone jack — who still want the WASP-7's more refined, spatially-tuned audio rather than dropping down to the entry WASP-5. Like the rest of the WASP range, it uses a detachable microphone boom so the earphones can double as plain music earbuds when voice chat isn't needed, and it carries over the WASP-7's positioning as the more precise, directionally-tuned option for competitive gaming audio compared to the standard WASP-5. Transmitting audio digitally over USB-C rather than through an analogue 3.5mm signal removes the need for a separate 3.5mm-to-USB-C dongle on modern devices, and can allow more consistent audio/microphone performance across different host devices than a purely analogue connection. It remains a wired in-ear design rather than a wireless earbud, prioritising a stable digital connection and detachable-mic flexibility over cable-free convenience.
