The Armor3 NuRival is a step up from the NuChamp line, built around genuine Hall Effect joysticks rather than traditional potentiometer sticks — magnetic sensing technology that avoids stick drift over time and keeps input response consistent and durable even after extended use, the same underlying reason Hall Effect sticks have become a selling point on premium controllers generally. It connects wirelessly to Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED consoles and adds four dedicated macro buttons with four selectable presets, letting a player set up and instantly switch between different control schemes for different games rather than remapping buttons from scratch each time. Built-in gyro support enables motion-based aiming and control for titles that support it, and a turbo button provides rapid-fire input for games where holding a button down manually would be impractical. It stands out visually too, with vibrant multi-colour RGB lighting and customisable dynamic lighting effects across the shell, giving it a more premium, distinctive look on a shelf or in hand than a plain-black third-party pad. This black colourway weighs 0.34 kg, measures 17.8 x 7.6 x 14 cm, and carries a 1-year warranty.
