The 240Hz panel is the standout spec here: for competitive/fast-paced gaming (shooters, racing titles), a refresh rate this high delivers noticeably smoother, more responsive motion than the 60-144Hz panels typical of mainstream laptops, and the RTX 5070 has enough GPU headroom to actually push high frame rates at 1080p or 1440p in most current titles with DLSS assistance. Combined with the Ryzen 9-8940HX's strong multi-core performance, this configuration is built for gamers who prioritise frame rate and responsiveness alongside genuinely good visual fidelity, rather than a laptop tuned purely for battery life or thinness. As part of ASUS's ROG Strix line, expect the family's usual RGB keyboard lighting, aggressively vented chassis design, and Armoury Crate software for performance profiles and fan tuning. ASUS also includes its Armoury Crate software for real-time performance monitoring, fan-curve tuning and one-click switching between silent, balanced and turbo power profiles.
