The ASUSTOR Drivestor 2 Gen2 (AS1202T) is a compact 2-bay NAS for homes and small offices that want their own private cloud instead of a monthly subscription. It runs a Realtek RTD1619B quad-core 1.7GHz ARM processor with 1GB DDR4 memory and 8GB of eMMC flash for the ADM operating system, and takes two 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA drives in RAID 0, RAID 1 or JBOD. Networking is a 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet port, a real step up from Gigabit on a home router or switch that supports it, and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (one front, two rear) handle external drives and backups. The CPU can transcode 4K H.265 10-bit video, so it doubles as a Plex or media server, and it supports Btrfs snapshots and AES-256 encryption. A 70mm fan keeps it quiet. Diskless: add your own NAS drives. Includes a 65W power adapter.
