The Asustor Flashstor 12 Pro (FS6712X) is an all-flash NAS that packs twelve M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots into a slim chassis under 5cm tall. It is aimed at video editors, content creators and small studios who want silent, fast shared storage and a 10 Gigabit network connection built in. The FS6712X runs an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core CPU (2.0GHz, burst 2.9GHz) with 4GB DDR4 memory, expandable to 16GB, and its single 10GbE port also negotiates at 5G, 2.5G and 1G, so it works with existing switches. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports connect external drives, while HDMI 2.0b and S/PDIF outputs allow media playback. It uses Asustor's ADM operating system with Btrfs snapshots and backup tools, draws around 26W in operation from a 90W adapter and carries a 3-year warranty. SSDs are not included; optional AS-HK1 heatsinks are sold separately.
