The Asustor Lockerstor 2 Gen2 (AS6702T) is a compact two-bay NAS for home offices, creators and small businesses that want fast, private network storage instead of relying only on the cloud. It runs on an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor (2.0GHz, bursting to 2.9GHz) with 4GB of DDR4 memory, expandable to 16GB across two slots. Besides the two hot-swappable 3.5/2.5-inch SATA bays, it adds four M.2 2280 NVMe slots that can be used for SSD caching or fast storage pools. Two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports support link aggregation, which suits the faster switches now common in South African offices, while two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports handle external drives and backups. An HDMI 2.0b output allows 4K playback directly from the NAS. It runs Asustor's ADM operating system with Btrfs snapshots and supports up to 36TB raw internally, or 10 drives with expansion units. Drives are not included; the unit carries a 3-year warranty.
