The Asustor Nimbustor 4 Gen2 (AS5404T) is a four-bay NAS aimed at home media enthusiasts, gamers and small offices, wrapped in Asustor's distinctive gaming-styled black and red chassis. It is powered by an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor (2.0GHz, burst 2.9GHz) with 4GB DDR4 memory, upgradeable to 16GB. Four hot-swappable bays take 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA drives for up to 72TB raw, and four M.2 2280 NVMe slots allow SSD caching or a separate fast storage pool. Two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with link aggregation, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and an HDMI 2.0b output for 4K playback round off the connectivity. A large 120mm fan keeps noise down to around 19.7dB at idle. It runs Asustor ADM for file sharing, backups, Plex-style media serving and surveillance apps, supports up to 16 drives with expansion units and carries a 3-year warranty. Hard drives are not included.
