The Audac MWS800/B is a replacement foam windscreen in black for the Audac CMX826 headset condenser microphone. A windscreen slips over the capsule at the end of the microphone boom to reduce breath 'pops' and wind noise, which matters with a headset mic because the capsule sits close to the mouth. Audac states that it is designed for the CMX826 and is also suitable for other pipe-neck condenser microphones with a similar small capsule. Presenters, teachers, fitness instructors, worship leaders and conference speakers wearing a CMX826 on a wireless bodypack are the typical users, and installers keep spares because foam windscreens are easily lost, and for hygiene they are often swapped between different wearers. The black version is chosen to blend in with the wearer's skin tone or clothing, matching a black headset. Audac offers it in two colours: MWS800/B (black) and MWS800/S (beige). The price is for the windscreen only; the microphone itself is not included.
