The Audac MERO6 is a high-end two-way in-wall loudspeaker with a 6-inch aluminium-cone woofer and a 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter, designed for discreet, high-quality background and foreground music in hotels, restaurants, bars, retail, corporate spaces and homes. A high-quality passive crossover at 3 kHz blends the drivers, while an acoustically optimised waveguide and phase plug give wide, even coverage (160° horizontal, 140° vertical). The tweeter rotates by 7.5° so the speaker can be installed vertically or horizontally. The SlimLine grill with a 1 mm border is held on by neodymium magnets, and the QuickFix four-screw mechanism with gold-plated Gold-Con spring-clamp connectors speeds up installation. Power handling is 60 W continuous (AES), 120 W programme and 240 W peak at 8 ohms, with 88 dB sensitivity and a maximum of 106 dB SPL. Frequency response is 55 Hz - 20 kHz (±3 dB). It measures 196.5 x 276.5 x 82 mm, needs a 174 x 254 mm cut-out and 78.5 mm depth, and weighs 1.66 kg. A cut-out template is included; a 100 V transformer (WTR24) is optional.
