The Audac CELO2 is a high-end, very compact 2-inch ceiling loudspeaker for background music in hotels, corporate spaces, homes, bars, restaurants and shops, and this is the white-grill version with 8 ohm impedance. With an outer diameter of only 118 mm it is about the size of a standard downlighter, needs a 100 mm cut-out and a built-in depth of 95 mm, so it disappears into the ceiling. A 2-inch aluminium cone driver in a ported enclosure with a closed back can gives a warm, detailed full-range sound from 120 Hz to 20 kHz, with 10 W continuous (AES) and 20 W program power handling, 83 dB sensitivity and a wide 165 degree conical dispersion. An internal self-resetting network protects against overload. The SlimLine grill has a 1 mm border, protrudes only 3.2 mm, is held by neodymium magnets and can be painted to match the ceiling; black (GLC02/B) and paintable grills are optional extras. Installation uses a two-screw quick-fix clamp and gold-plated Gold-Con spring terminals, and a cut-out template is included. The 8 ohm version suits low-impedance amplifier outputs with a few speakers per channel; a 16 ohm version (CELO2D) lets more speakers be wired in parallel. Audac recommends an open ceiling void (about 15 litres or more of back volume) for the stated bass response; an optional WTR06 6 W transformer adapts it to 100 V line systems.
