The Audac MSP40 is a 19-inch, 1U professional media player and recorder for background music and announcement playback in bars, restaurants, retail, corporate spaces, clubs and houses of worship. It plays MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, FLAC, WMA and WAV files from a USB memory stick or USB hard drive (FAT16/FAT32), and records to MP3, Ogg Vorbis or WAV. The front panel has a 2.8-inch graphical display with a push-rotary control dial and four buttons, showing track, artist and play mode, with single, continuous, repeat and random playback. Audio connects through balanced stereo line output and balanced stereo line input on 3-pin Euro terminal blocks, and an RS-232 port lets home or building automation systems control it; an optional RMT40 2.4 GHz remote control is available. It uses a switching power supply for 110-240 V AC and consumes only 1.6 W. The steel housing measures 482 x 44 x 330 mm and weighs 3.15 kg. Audac lists the MSP40 as discontinued with no successor.
