The Axxent CP100S is a compact, half-19-inch single-channel wired intercom main (master) station from German manufacturer Axxent, supplied here together with the PS65 external power supply. It is used for backstage, theatre, broadcast, church and event communication between the stage manager, lighting and sound desks and camera operators on a two-wire party-line system, allowing full-duplex conversation with belt packs and headsets. The front panel has a 4-pin XLR headset socket that works with standard intercom headsets using dynamic microphones, and a 3-pin XLR socket for a gooseneck or handheld microphone, plus a built-in monitoring loudspeaker with a speaker on/off key, a call key, a buzzer on/off switch, a PTT toggle, a volume control and a sidetone adjustment. Incoming calls are signalled acoustically and by a flashing light. A rear switch activates line termination. The PS65 supply (100-240 V AC in, 24 V DC at 2.71 A out) can power up to roughly 25 intercom components on the line. The station can be rack-mounted with the optional RMK100 kit or wall/under-desk mounted with the optional WMK100 kit.
