The Axxent MBK D800E (AVD code AXX-180372) is a rugged single-ear intercom headset for broadcast crews, theatre and event stage management, camera operators and production teams on wired or wireless intercom systems. Its housing is made of tough PE plastic. The headset is designed with acoustic and electrical isolation between the microphone and the earpiece, which cuts crosstalk on multi-channel intercom systems. Special ear cushions block out loud surroundings without making it uncomfortable to wear on long shows, while the single-sided design leaves one ear free to hear the room. The balanced dynamic microphone on the boom has a cardioid pattern and an effective windscreen. The earpiece covers 40 Hz to 14.4 kHz at 400 ohms with at least 94 dB sound pressure level and handles 100 mW. It weighs about 200 g without cable and is fitted with a 1.5 m cable terminated in a 4-pin XLR connector.
