The Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II is a ring flash for close-up and macro photography with Canon EOS cameras, both on location and in the studio. Its two flash tubes sit around the lens on a ring head, delivering even, shadow-free light on small subjects such as insects, flowers, jewellery and dental or medical work, and the two sides can be fired at different ratios to add shape and depth. The control unit mounts on the camera hot shoe and has a clear LCD panel, supporting E-TTL II, E-TTL and TTL metering, second-curtain sync and wireless control of other Speedlites across 4 channels and 3 groups. It has a guide number of 14, runs on four AA batteries (or the CP-E4 battery pack) with about 5.5 seconds recycling time and weighs 455 g.
