Garmin Connect 50 v2, EmpirBus, 24V, 11/20, Garmin Mfg.

The Connect 50 v2 is a Garmin EmpirBus digital switching interface module, configured here for a 24V marine electrical system with an 11-input/20-output channel arrangement. EmpirBus is Garmin's marine digital switching platform, replacing a traditional bank of mechanical breakers and toggle switches with software-controlled load management: individual circuits (lighting, pumps, hatches, accessories) are switched and monitored digitally rather than wired directly to physical switches at a panel.
As a Connect-series interface, this unit's role is to bridge EmpirBus's digital control network onto the boat's NMEA 2000 backbone and/or Garmin's own marine network, so switching, load status and diagnostics for every connected circuit can be viewed and operated directly from a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument display at the helm, rather than needing a dedicated physical panel. This is aimed at boat builders and integrators fitting out a vessel with a full digital switching system, where moving circuit control into software also allows scenes/macros (e.g. a single "docking" or "night running" button that triggers multiple circuits at once) and remote diagnostics that a conventional breaker panel simply can't offer. It's supplied as "Garmin Mfg." - i.e. manufactured/branded through Garmin's EmpirBus partnership rather than a third-party accessory. It also supports NMEA 2000 and Garmin Marine Network integration, sharing switching status and diagnostics two-way with the rest of the vessel's connected electronics.
