More Info

The Elgato 4K60 Pro is an internal PCIe (x4) capture card built for gamers and streamers who want to record or stream console gameplay at genuine 4K quality without routing everything through an external box. It captures video up to 2160p at 60fps, with hardware H.264 encoding onboard so the capture workload doesn't hammer the host PC's own CPU/GPU during recording or streaming, and a proprietary "master copy" mode keeps a full-quality lossless recording running locally in the background even while a lower-bitrate stream is being sent out live. Capture bitrate runs up to roughly 140Mbps, giving plenty of headroom for crisp, detail-preserving 4K footage rather than the visible compression artefacts lower-bitrate capture solutions produce. It accepts HDMI input and passes the signal straight through to a monitor or TV over its own HDMI output with near-zero added latency, so there's no need to unplug a console between playing and capturing. It's compatible with PS4 and Xbox One-generation consoles as HDMI sources, and installs directly into a spare PCIe slot inside a desktop PC.
